The paper outlines the methods that may be used to perform load and stability analyses for multi-stage rocket systems. Design criteria and time domain and frequency domain studies are discussed. Two appendices deal with the derivation of the time domain equations of motion and the method of obtaining the transfer functions of a damped aeroelastic system. It is pointed out that the requirements for aeroelastic analyses can be quite demanding, calling for a high degree of sophistication in their treatment. (Author)
