The patent relates to a reusable shipping container assembly for securing, supporting, housing and shipping items. In a preferred embodiment, the container assembly includes: (a) members for securing and supporting the item, including: a slotted base upon which the item is placed; a plurality of removable straps, with fasteners, passing through any two of the slots, for strapping the item to the base; a plurality of bracing blocks, movable on the base and releasably lockable in the slots, to abut and brace the item; and a floor, removably positioned under, and also cushioned under, the base; and, (b) a completely closeable container for housing the item to be shipped, and the members of the assembly which secure and support the item to be shipped. This container assembly, unlike the prior art not only is reusable, but also permits the simultaneous housing and shipping, within the same container, or a multiplicity of items that vary in size, shape, and weight.
