The requirements for the next generation of tactical missiles, the corresponding new aerodynamic problems, and the new wind tunnel testing techniques and computational methods were highlighted. Special attention is focused on unconventional shapes as airbreathing missiles, stealth considerations, pyrotechnical lateral jet control, high angles of attack, and non-rigid airframe. The computational codes presented are based on the resolution of the Euler equations; they are illustrated by numerous industrial examples.
