An investigation was conducted on a 1:55.5-scale hydraulic model to obtain data from which competitive designs could be determined for the repair of the damaged breakwater at Nawiliwili Harbor, Island of Kauai, Hawaii. Proposed designs involved protective cover layers of either salvaged quarrystone, tetrapod, or tribar armor units.
