Starting from known values of total thrust, number of revolutions, duct vorticity etc. the method determines ducted propeller efficiency, duct thrust, shape of the duct and the propeller etc. The distribution of blade circulation is arbitrary and the number of propeller blades finite. To simplify the calculations a combination of the method of singularities and the momentum theorem is used. (Author)
