This bibliography contains citations concerning design, fabrication, and testing of parachutes and decelerating devices that use aerodynamic drag. Included are materials for the canopy, shrouds, and hardware, and components for operations, such as canopy opening, actuators, staging, reefing, and maneuvering. Investigations include design or testing for extremes in altitude, velocity, weight, and configuration of the loads. Applications include deployment of humans from aircraft for escape or air drop missions, aerial delivery of equipment and munitions, recovery of boosters, spacecraft, and drones, and stability or deceleration of aircraft. (This updated bibliography contains 193 citations, 72 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
