The report contains results of the AN/GRN-19A TACAN station evaluation at MacDill AFB, Florida. The ground evaluation phase was conducted 12 - 18 November 1975 and the flight evaluation 6 - 7 December 1975. The flight evaluation was delayed by an antenna change. Detailed results of ground equipment checks are included. Flight results revealed an exceptionally well sited TACAN with solid coverage throughout the required service volume. A discussion of terminal instrument procedures (TERPS) criteria for the TACAN approaches is included. Taken together, the ground and the flight evaluation results fully define the capabilities and limitations of the TACAN. The data presented in this report can be used as a valid guide to anticipated performance until there is a significant change in the ground equipment or until a change occurs in the horizon screening.
