The objectives of this study are: To obtain the critical gap parameters in the gap-acceptance function; To examine differences in gap-acceptance behavior between pedestrian signalized and unsignalized intersections; and To examine the effect of groups on crossing behavior. These objectives are part of the overall study aim of providing a general characterization pedestrian crossing behavior at signalized intersections based on field observations.
