Fifteen Multidisciplinary Teams throughout the United States are conducting in-depth motor vehicle collision investigations. The study objectives of these teams are primarily five-fold: to identify factors contributing to the crash; to identify injury causation; to evaluate effectiveness of countermeasures; to determine aging effects in vehicles and value of vehicle inspection programs. A summary is given of all the findings.
