A program for replacing asbestos on Naval aircraft has been initiated. A survey to identify all asbestos-containing aircraft materials has been made. Many commercially available substitutes and their properties have been identified. Replacements will soon be available for MIL-A-7021 asbestos gasket material. (Author)
