With the progress of Arctic explorations various kinds of shipping service are conducted in Arctic regions. This paper summarizes technical aspects of Arctic shipping services and investigations to be made for extension of working period of ships into Arctic winter and annual transportation of Arctic products. Economic aspects of marine transportation of Arctic products are also described together with large sized pipeline system.
