This research documents the linkages between public transportation and economic activities in the rural areas of Arkansas. A methodology is developed to estimate the impacts of rural public transportation and economic activities in the rural areas of Arkansas. The developed methodology is used to estimate several rural public transportation systems in the state of Arkansas. The data obtained can provide rural transportation providers with an opportunity to link the economic strength of a region and the public transit system that serves it.
