Despite the use of integrated circuits, military avionics equipment has increased in cost and complexity, so that acceptable reliability is still a problem. As an aid to designers of avionics subsystems, nineteen rules for assuring reliable products and avoiding possible pitfalls in test and evaluation activities are presented. (Author)
