Five systems of cathodic protection were installed on the US87 Missouri-Pacific Railroad overpass in Big Spring, Texas. The design and construction of the systems are summarized in this report. The Federal Highway Administration sponsored the demonstration project intended to be used as a means of comparing the various systems. Later reports will provide updates of how effectively the systems operate in this installation.
