In 1998, in the wake of the successful Working Group (WG) 18, the new RTO AVT Panel endorsed the creation of a new WG on 'Technologies for Propelled Hypersonic Flight', RTO AVT WG 10. Three (3) Subgroups were created to structure the activities of the Working Group. Subgroup 2 addressed the physical modelling aspects associated with scram combustion; a review was given on fuels, turbulence mixing, ignition and flame holding prediction capabilities as well as vitiation. This report documents the results of the Applied Vehicle Technology Panel Working Group 10, Subgroup 2.
