Public Law 100-91, the National Parks Overflights Act, directed the National Park Service to conduct research on the impacts to visitors of aircraft flying over units of the National Park System. As part of the research program to address the mandate of Public Law 100-91, specifically Section 3, Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP) is required to submit a report to Congress on whether Special Federal Aviation Regulation 50-2 (SFAR 50-2)'has succeeded in substantially restoring the natural quite' in the park. The study reports the findings from a survey of GCNP visitors on the impacts of aircraft ovrflights on visitors to Grand Canyon National Park. The executive summary presents the major findings and conclusions from the visitor survey.
