Cairo-Grady County, Georgia, proposes to construct a new crosswind runway with a 40-foot wide partial parallel taxiway and 85 acres of land for ultimate extension to 5000 x 100 feet including appurtenances. Other improvements will be apron expansion and T-hangar construction. Approximately 25 to 30 acres of trees will be cleared. Noise levels will be increased in different areas, along with slight increase in air pollution in the latter period with the introduction of jets.
