The effort reported on is part of a program to completely specify the susceptibility effects of the electromagnetic environment on weapon systems. Since the electromagnetic coupling into a system is dependent upon skin currents, the electrical properties and the effects of the exhaust plume must be completely determined. This report provides a mathematical description of the chemical and electrical characteristics of a typical tactical rocket. In particular the coaxial and radial distributions of the constitutive parameters in the wake of the rocket are developed from a plasma model of the exhaust plume. (Author)
