The principles and methodology for the qualification of explosives, propellants, and pyrotechnics are described. The fifth draft of the AOP-7 Manual of Tests, which is the companion document to STANAG 4170, is being assembled. The principal features of assessment principles and methodologies, national qualification procedures, reference explosives, test information sheets, methods to record and issue data, and the duties of National Authorities are described in detail.
