This specification describes the principal physical and functional characteristics of the control systems necessary to start, set, vary thrust, and stop the General Electric GE4/J5G engine. The design requirements are specified. Ground and flight tests to ensure that the control systems are satisfactory have been established. System performance requirements established herein are design objectives to be applied to the prototype airplanes. Application of these requirements to production airplane design will be established after prototype flight testing. (Author)
