This report estimates future waterborne forest products traffic through the Port of Coos Bay. Forest products are the major items of waterborne commerce. Future movements of such commodities are dependent on future harvests from the forests tributary to the Port. Different forest products, different geographical areas are tributary to the Port. The area supplying wood chips for export is considerably greater than the area supplying logs for conversion by domestic industry on Coos Bay estuary. Future waterborne forest products traffic through the Port of Coos Bay will increase annually by year 2030. (Portions of this document are not fully legible.)
