The report provides an inventory of transit services in Iowa including urban transit, intercity passenger bus carriers and charter operators, taxicab operations, rural transit services, and special services. Also included are the results of questionnaires and interviews with officials of other states and the resulting recommendations for Iowa regarding a state transit policy, sources of revenue, programs for assistance to public transit, and performance tasks for personnel engaged in administering a state transit program.
