The project proposes to construct a runway extension and a taxiway, and also to install runway end identification lights (REIL's) and Visual Approach Slope Indicators (VASI's). With the proposed development, the total number of additional residences which would be impacted from aircraft noise resulting from the forecast 1985 activity, beyond those impacted without the runway development is twenty-five (25). At the same time, because the runway development redistributes the noise impact, there will be a decrease in noise level affecting approximately 90 homes.
