A total of 70 tests, including static, rocket sled-launched, rocket-boosted and aircraft drops, have been used to develop the 24-ft-diameter hybrid Kevlar-29/nylon ribbon parachute for recovery of the 765-lb store. The parachute has been deployed successfully over the environmental temperature range of -65 exp 0 to 160 exp 0 F and has operated successfully over the design range of deployment speeds from 330 KCAS to Mach 1.2 at sea level.
