The Vehicle Asset Management System (VAMS) program is designed to help base-level fleet managers keep track of vehicle authorizations and assignments. The program's capabilities include: adding, editing and deleting data on vehicle authorizations and/or assignments; printing reports of vehicles/authorizations in specified categories; and, monthly reconciliation with OLVIMS vehicle files. All of these functions can be accomplished through a system of easy-to-use menus. Getting good results with the program requires only a working understanding of fleet management and a Zenith Z-100 or Z-248 computer. The program's advantages include: increased data accuracy, improved flexibility, standardization, and reduction in the amount of time needed to prepare reports. Software Description: The software is written in compiled dBASE II for implementation on a Zenith Z100 or Z248 computer using the MS-DOS 2.0+ operating system. 10 MB of memory is recommended.
