The purpose of this study was to determine the requirement for and configuration of air cargo containers for Department of Defense cargo moving in Military Sealift Command channels during the 1974-1975 time frame. The study recommended that the Department of the Army initiate action to design, develop, procure, and plan the utilization of 8-foot by 8-foot by 10-foot air/land containers. (Author)
