The reliability of today's highly sophisticated weapons systems is dependent on simulation tests. These power-on, all-up tests are required prior to delivery to the fleet and periodically during the life of the missile. The tests must be conducted in hardened missile test cells (MTCs) to prevent communication of an accidental explosion to ordnance outside the cell and to limit leakage pressure in adjacent occupied areas to less than 2.3 psi.
