A payload retention concept that may be utilized on Space Shuttle missions is investigated. This concept appears to embody all the desirable features for the very demanding requirements for space flight. Desirable features include light weight, low cost, high reliability, excellant load distribution, versatility, and insensitivity to critical alignment.
