The Chesapeake Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (CHESNAVFACENGCOM) and The Naval Underwater Construction Team Two have been tasked by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to repair three UQC cables of the Barking Sands Tactical Underwater Range (BARSTUR) System at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii. To effect the repair, three sea/shore interface cable will be replaced by three UQC repair/replacement cables installed from the cable termination hut on shore out to approximately 0.8 nautical miles (nmi) offshore.
