The Truck, Parcel Delivery, 4x2, 500-cubic-foot capacity, underwent product improvement tests at Aberdeen Proving Ground from 9 November to 7 December 1965. The truck was tested after a thorough initial inspection and received a final inspection after testing. The performance of the truck was generally satisfactory except for body waterproofing and structural weakness in the rear bumperette. It was recommended that specifications be revised to meet vehicle turning clearances, waterproofness be improved, and that bumpers and bumperettes be strengthened. (Author)
