The project is proposed to facilitate traffic from SR 195 in its access to Pullman, SR 27 and connections to the Pullman-Moscow highway providing points of access and egress from Pullman at the WSU Campus and reducing the need for through highway traffic to traverse the Pullman central business district. The proposed construction traverses agricultural land and will displace two farmstead units. There will be an increase in the noise and air pollution levels, since there is essentially no comparable current highway route. There will be a detraction from the natural appearance of the rolling Palouse Hills caused by the construction of the new facility. The route may cause some disruption of rural neighborhoods and farm operations along the new highway. Game populations are extremely low in the area, so the project will have little influence on the game numbers or their natural life patterns.
