The present paper addresses the background of the UH-60 Airloads Program, the instrumentation, data requirements, and the development of the data collection and storage systems. An outline of the data points to be collected and detail of data access are presented. The Outside Experiment Program, in which researchers outside of NASA propose potential flight experiments, is described. Attention is given to the development of research systems necessary to conduct the program. Significant improvements in data acquisition, processing, and storage quality are stated as the primary objectives as dictated from lessons learned during past rotor airloads flight research programs.
