Four Airborne Telemetry Instrumentation Package (ATIP) technology development efforts were recently begun at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in areas related to soil moisture mission concepts. These are in the areas of low-mass low-power receiver modules, on-orbit calibration, and digital correlators. The relevance to enabling soil moisture missions will be discussed, along with expected products and timelines for each project.
