    Title :

Reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) of head-hardened rails - RAMS is an acronym formed from the first letters of the words Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety. While safety has always been the biggest concern of railways, the other three factors are becoming more and more important, in order to make railway infrastructure economically more efficient.
