    Title :

Pandrol VIPA-SP track support system for the Leven Bridge in Cumbria, England - Network Rail decided to replace the steel deck structure of the Leven Bridge in Cumbria, England, which, for over 100 years, had been exposed to the harsh environment at the estuary of the River Leven. The steelwork had severely corroded and could no longer be maintained economically. Pandrol was able to provide an important innovation in the Leven steel bridge design that reduces the total weight of the structure, protects the original bridge piers from excessive vibration and the local environment from re-radiated secondary noise from the new steel structures.
