Qualification Testing is performed to verify that component and system designs will operate successfully in their intended environment. The F-22 ECS/TMS is currently well into its component and system qualification testing. With 143 components varying widely in function and complexity, substantial experience has been gained in both design knowledge as well as understanding the value of the test process itself. This paper will address a summary of the test program efforts to date, focusing on lessons learned generally applicable to any product development effort. Specific areas to be discussed include:
