Presented are the results of the experimental investigation into the geometric characteristics of liquid fuel (kerosene) plume in pylon near wake: the height of “liquid foot”, the upper and bottom boundaries, the plume cross section and droplet diameter depending on the distance between the liquid fuel injection orifice and pylon base, the pylon shape, Mach number, fluid viscosity, ratios of dynamic pressure of jet to dynamic pressure of flow, etc. The experimental data were obtained by processing Tepler and conventional photographs made by laser “cutter” for plume cross- sections and method of the integrating diaphragm for droplet diameters under free stream Mach numbers 2,5-4 and T =300 K.
