Industrialized nations confronted with environmental, socioeconomic, and populace mobility problems, resulting from urbanization of their respective societies, are seeking solutions via revitalization of their rail systems. This paper presents an overview of urban corridor rail revival in different nations and points to similarities in such areas as service, economics, design, and speed.
