Requirements for higher quality and more sophisticated hydraulic components have led to many changes in methods and equipment for testing hydraulics. Testing has progressed from measurements consisting of pressure gage and measuring bucket to electronic data acquisition equipment capable of measuring nearly any physical quantity with extreme accuracy. This paper will present some of the methods and advantages of testing hydraulic components in a modern test laboratory.
