Recently introduced remote diagnostics systems are emerging as a viable approach for monitoring, maintaining and servicing commercial vehicles and other remote assets. Their use has created new, improved approaches to equipment service and maintenance, demonstrating cost efficiencies in both. This paper outlines what remote diagnostics is, its architecture, how it can be used, and cites specific examples of return on investment (ROI).
