This paper presents an approach to deal with an hydraulic driven rotary flexible beam. In the first part, a Bond Graph model is presented, and used to calculate two system eigen frequencies, that are checked experimentally. In the second part a control strategy to reduce the undesired beam vibration is described. This strategy is tested both with our Bond Graph model and experimentally.
