Neste has developed and built up a new computer system for the cold weather driveability and operability tests performed on the chassis dynamometer. The system adopted uses modern data acquisition devices and easy programming language. Special effort was put to get the user interface as ‘easy-to-use’ as possible, to minimize all possible human errors - that means more accurate results, more tests and less test costs than before. Use of the system up till now has showed that all targets have been achieved - the modernizing project has been successful. This paper describes the new computer system in detail.
