A simulation program has been developed as an analytical tool that has the ability to predict the mechanical transient response of electronically controlled solenoid valves. The program is a powerful tool to evaluate characteristics which previously were not well understood. Presented in the paper will be the assumptions and considerations of the program, along with some interesting findings that can improve dynamic response of a solenoid design.
