Anechoic chambers are often commissioned using the “draw-away” test methods and required results specified by ISO 3745 to determine the degree to which a free field is simulated. A method to understand and predict these results on the basis of room dimensions and absorptive characteristics of the room surfaces is described and predictions compared with field measurements.
