The water-cooling system of the internal combustion engines practically did not suffer alterations since its creation. We simultaneously passed for a cooling system named term siphon, where the fluid circulation occur by the difference of the fluid density, therefore without the use of water pump. This system had some advantages such as the possibility of a quick heating of the engine in the cold phase (warm up) as well as after engine turn off, the fluid used to continue circulating until the complete homogenization of the temperature, however did not allow the control temperature of the engine heat-affected components. After that we had the cooling system named circulation forced by pump, which is the system currently used which allows a good control of the engine heat-affected components, but the warm up takes more time and the fluid circulation after engine turn off does not occur. In this case, the water pump is generally started by the engine through a pulley that is connected to the crankshaft through a belt.Using the electric water pump, we will continue to circulate the cooling fluid under pressure, however by an intelligent way, since the fluid flow will be controlled electrically providing gains to the whole system.
