A new auto/light truck piston has been developed which has demonstrated substantial performance improvement in every measurable area compared with the current standard Autothermic® pistons. This new concept for future automotive engines is lighter, stronger, and delivers 3-5% increase in fuel economy on EPA Standard tests. This piston is the most significant development since the introduction of the Nelson/Bohn Autothermic® piston as the world standard for pistons in the 1920's. Quality and reliability have been enhanced through systems analysis and an “Engineered Solutions®” approach to manufacturing the parts.
