The interaction between the vehicle suspension and the road has a significant effect on the road wear and damage. To address this problem an EC proposal has been issued to define a ‘road friendly suspension’. GKN Tadchurch have designed and tested a rubber tandem axle suspension that meets these EC proposals without compromising suspension articulation and roll stiffness.
