In order to adapt to the high frequency of the operation of commercial vehicles and locomotives in the yard and the necessity of personnel safety in the freight yard, this paper proposes a method based on the fusion application of GNSS, radar ranging, laser and RTK differential technology for the multi-sensor early warning safety system of freight yard vehicles to jointly assist the safety limit ranging of freight yard vehicles and personnel. This method can avoid the problem of the vehicle re-starting and positioning drift under fixed obstacles, which leads to the inability to cut into the automatic driving, and ensure the personal safety of the operators in the field.
