The parking brake system is an important part of the Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) to ensure the safety of the train. The composition and gas path principle of the parking brake system of the EMU are introduced, and the system simulation model is established by AMESim software. The key parameters of the fault equivalent model are obtained by using Non-Linear Programming by Quadratic Lagrangian (NLPQL) optimization algorithm. The comparison between the experimental and simulation results shows that the fault equivalent model can simulate the fault of the cylinder hose shedding. Based on the fault equivalent model, the variation law of total wind pressure under fault conditions is obtained.
