This research attempts to investigate drawbar pull of five popular models of front wheel assist tractor of Massey Ferguson brand in Iran. To this aim, quadratic polynomial regression technique was employed to approximate correlation between drawbar pull data and slip of wheels for both drive configurations [rear wheel drive (two-wheel drive, 2WD) and front wheel-assisted drive (four-wheel drive, 4WD)] of the tractors. According to superior functionality of regression technique, drawbar pull performance has been ascertained. Research results revealed that slip of wheels (2.1–15.5%) and tractor weight (34.67–41.25 kN) had increasing contributory influence on drawbar pull (6.9–41.5 kN) in both drive configurations. In case of the same slip of wheels and tractor weight, it should be highlighted that drawbar pull provided by the 4WD configuration was higher than that of the 2WD configuration. The research ends with comprehensive discussion for the results. Finally, it can be advocated that the results are an assistance tool for experts to study and compare drawbar pull of the tractors in specific construction environments with concrete flat surface.
